Founded in 1985, The Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) is a student-run Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency at St. Bonaventure University. Comprising of over 40 individuals, student volunteers are all certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-B), or training to be, in the state of New York or nationally. In order to foster a safe community, MERT is on call 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, and has been doing so for over 30 years.
This organization is dedicated to serving the students, faculty, and individuals in both St. Bonaventure University and surrounding community. Apart from the emergency medical services that MERT offers St. Bonaventure University, MERT members also work with organizations in the community, volunteering its services for events held by the Special Olympics and STEMs (Southern Tier Health Care System).
MERT is a great way to gain leadership and medical experience. If you are interested in becoming a part of the team, please contact email@example.com. MERT is always looking for new members and you do not need any prior experience to join. MERT Application
