Psychology

Welcome to St. Bonaventure University’s Department of Psychology.

The Department of Psychology is committed to presenting psychology as a behavioral science so that every student in the program becomes capable of appreciating and implementing the role and value of a scientific approach to understanding behavior and mental processes.

The Department offers two majors, a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a bachelor of science degree in psychology, as well as a psychology minor. Currently there are approximately 150 undergraduates majoring or minoring in psychology.

A degree in psychology in conjunction with appropriate elective courses is an excellent preparation for careers in human services or social services, or post graduate studies in psychology, business administration, health care, law school, medicine, or veterinary medicine.
