Nicholas Devereux  Mary Devereux

The Devereux Giving Societies is named in honor of Nicholas and Mary Devereux.

In 1855, the couple donated financial resources and their Allegany farm to establish the site for St. Bonaventure College. In doing so, they set a precedent and tradition of philanthropy that continues today and is recognized by the leadership giving society that bears their name.
