The number of spaces available for St. Bonaventure students is determined by Trinity College. If more students apply than the number of available spaces, St. Bonaventure will ask Trinity College to make more spaces available.
There is little probability that additional spaces will be possible. Students who cannot be accommodated will be placed on a waiting list and will be accepted into the program when and if additional spots become available.
Acceptance schedule
The first wave of people accepted into the 2024 Oxford program will be notified by email or USPS to their home addresses by Christmas 2023. An application will not be considered complete until the $250 initial deposit has been recorded by the business office.
If spaces remain after Christmas 2023, the application process will remain open until all spaces are filled or until March 1, 2024. However, the earlier you apply and pay the deposit, the greater the certainty of your acceptance for the program.
If you receive notification that you have been accepted into the program, you will be asked to confirm in writing that you are fully committed to participate in the program and will neither change your mind nor drop out. You must also pay the confirmation deposit of $500 immediately.

There are numerous scholarships available for the Oxford program. The directors will inform those accepted into the program of what is available and how to apply during spring semester. (Some scholarships are automatic; no application is necessary.)
Cost & payment schedule
TOTAL COST: $7,000
INITIAL DEPOSIT: An initial deposit of $250 must be made at the time you apply. No application will be approved until the university business office has recorded the deposit. Please be certain that you do intend to be a part of the 2024 program before sending in your application and deposit.
CONFIRMATION PAYMENT: A $500 payment must be made as soon as you have been accepted into the program and confirm in writing your intent to participate in the 2024 program.
INTERIM PAYMENT: A $1,500 payment is due on or before March 4, 2024.
FINAL PAYMENT: Payment in full of the remaining balance will be due on or before May 15, 2024.
Method of payment
Payments may be made easily online. Go to my.sbu.edu, sign in and click on “student services.” Under student accounts, click on the Oxford tab. Fill in the information and the payment will be made from your account electronically. Alternatively, you may pay by paper check at the university business office in the Administration Building. Make your check payable to St. Bonaventure University and note “2024 Oxford Program” in the memo line.
