A St. Bonaventure University professor embarking on long-term sports research is seeking to poll up to 1,000 U.S. sports fans for the project.
The project will involve taking surveys approximately every six to eight weeks and will last into early 2015, said Dr. Paul G. Barretta, assistant professor of marketing and lead researcher on the project.
“Every sports fan has his or her own unique views,” Barretta said. “The panel is being set up to capture these views as a way of measuring perceptions of current, relevant issues from the typical fan’s point of view.”
Although the primary motivation for participation is to share views as a sports fan, three people will win $50 Amazon.com gift cards in a drawing to be held at the end of the research project.
People interested in participating in the study should contact Barretta by email at pbarrett@sbu.edu. ______________
