Dr. Russell Woodruff, associate professor of philosophy, and 2018 SBU graduate Cholavardhan Kondeti had their article "Robots, Eldercare and Meaningful Lives" published in the December 2023 issue of Humana.Mente, Journal of Philosophical Studies. 

The article addresses the challenges and opportunities of using robots in caring for elders, specifically if and how such use might maintain, enhance, or hinder meaningfulness in elders' lives.
