The university complies with federal, state and local laws including those which regulate the possession, use and sale of alcoholic beverages and controlled substances.
St. Bonaventure University expects its students to abide by New York state and federal laws regarding possession and consumption of alcohol. St. Bonaventure students under the age of 21 are not permitted to possess or consume alcohol on campus. Students who are of legal drinking age may possess and consume alcohol under the guidelines outlined in the university’s Alcohol Policy.
Any behavior that violates NYS laws pertaining to alcohol, and or any aspect of St. Bonaventure University’s Alcohol Policy, will be considered a violation of the Student Code of Conduct.

The university's Center for Student Wellness provides assessment and referral services to the university community, as well as serving as an alcohol and other drug information/education resource.
