The Swan Business Center opened for the start of fall semester 2013, The two-story building, with its unique glass-walled atrium and signature Bonaventure tile roof, gives students in the School of Business access to state-of-the-art technology and amenities that cater to the school's personalized, collaborative approach to business education.

In keeping with the university's Franciscan heritage, the building incorporates sustainable design elements and other environmentally friendly features.
The building is named for Ann L. Swan, a former teacher and active civic leader in Western New York, and her late husband, William E. Swan, a 1969 graduate of St. Bonaventure, a former chair of the university's Board of Trustees, and longtime Western New York business leader and philanthropist.
Ann Swan gave $3 million to the building campaign as a means of honoring her late husband's love for his alma mater.
The $15 million School of Business Campaign included $10 million for the construction of the business center; $4 million in endowments for faculty and programmatic support; and $1 million in endowment for building sustainability.
