Two side-by-side freshman residence halls, Robinson and Falconio, were renovated as part of a $7.5 million upgrade completed in fall of 2014.
Additionally, approximately $250,000 in improvements were undertaken to common spaces in historic Devereux Hall, a residence hall for sophomores, juniors and seniors.
Upgrades to Robinson and Falconio halls included extensive work throughout both buildings. The work targeted:
- lounge and other common spaces
- hallways
- student rooms
- restrooms
- laundry facilities
“We convened a universitywide team to consider our existing housing accommodations and options for meeting and exceeding student living expectations and needs,” said Nichole Gonzalez, executive director for Residential Living and Conduct. “We're are thrilled that the university proceeded with a plan that reflected input form both current and prospective students.”
Design and architectural work for the upgrade was completed by Cannon Design.
