What is fair trade?
Fair trade is a simple way to make a difference to the lives of the people who grow and make the things we love. It does this by changing the way trade works through better prices, decent working conditions and a fair deal for farmers and workers in developing countries.

The principles of fair trade are in line with the teachings of Saint Francis.
We work with suppliers such as Global Goods, Ten Thousand Villages, Matr Boomie and Prosperity Candle to bring unique items to you for reasonable prices.
Reprints of some works in the University Art Collection are available through
RequestAPrint.com, with a percentage of the cost coming to the Quick Center to support the ongoing maintenance of the collection.

We are presently offering a few items inspired by the spring 2018 exhibition of drawings and watercolors by SBU alumna Jess Pfohl, a self-taught artist who graduated in 2006 with a degree in journalism and mass communication.
Pfohl has her work in several national collections, and she has designed a Bona Wolf for us! We have the design on drink coasters, wrapping paper and stickers so far, with more to come later.

By special request, we are stocking silver jewelry by Laurel Elliot with the Franciscan Prayer for Peace on bracelets and necklaces
.
