This exhibition, first presented at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University in 2007 is now available for travel to other locations. This exhibition tells the story of how a handful of catholic clergy, private citizens and even a German officer orchestrated the dramatic rescue of several hundred Jewish refugees in Assisi, Italy, following the city's German occupation during WWII.
Previously on exhibit at the Jewish Museum of New Jersey (Newark, N.J.), University of St. Francis (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Lourdes College (Sylvania, Ohio.
This exhibition features Contemporary photography by Japanese artist Etsuko Yuasa. The artist, an art director and stylist by trade, states “this exhibition highlights a different aspect of her life in relation to the world of photography, it highlights the chance moments in life that one can only capture in an instant and not stage in a studio.” Accompanying the photographs are poetry written by Yuasa which are exhibited in both Japanese and English.
Previously on exhibit at New York University Kimmel Center.
Many vessels in this collection are thought to come from elite burials based on the study of their iconography and epigraphy though it is difficult to construct their full context.
Previously on exhibit at the Wake Forest University of Anthropology and the South Carolina State Museum.
