Lauren and David Matz present papers at convention

Mar 17, 2020 | The MatzesDr. David Matx, professor of classics, and Dr. Lauren Matz, profesor of English, presented papers at the Northeast Modern Language AssociationIn addition to moderating a panel session on “The Classical Classroom: Learning and Literature in Antiquity and Beyond.”

Dr. David Matz presented a paper on “The Trials and Travails of the Teaching Profession in Ancient Rome” at the Northeast Modern Language Association annual convention in Boston, Massachusetts, March 4-8, 2020. At the same convention, Dr. Lauren Matz presented a paper on “Tea and Coffee as Signifiers of Space and Self in Charlotte Bronte’s The Professor (1857).”
