Residential Discernment Program Housing

Students in the undergraduate Residential Discernment Program are housed together in Francis Hall on the east side of campus, adjacent to the university's Townhouse and Garden apartment complexes.
Once the home of Christ the King Seminary, Francis Hall houses the offices of University Advancement, University Relations and Alumni Services, as well as art studios, a cafe, and, on its upper floors, rooms for student housing.
Living as a community, part of the Program for Priestly Formation approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, is an important component of the Residential Discernment Program.
"Personal growth and character development should progress together harmoniously within a deepening spiritual life," states the Program for Priestly Formation. "The give-and-take between those who share the priesthood as a common vocation sets the right context for formation. Such interaction provides mutual support, promotes tolerance and fraternal correction, and gives an
opportunity for the development of leadership and talent..."
