Undergraduate Programs

Students in class

St. Bonaventure offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and programs, dozens of minors and concentrations, even the chance to earn an MBA in just five years. And our ever-expanding dual-admission/dual-degree program offers remarkable opportunities to be accepted — as an incoming SBU freshman — into medical, dental, pharmaceutical and physical therapy doctoral programs at some of the finest institutions in the country, or into the integrated marketing communications program right here in St. Bonaventure’s Russell J. Jandoli School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Students take advantage of a beautiful spring day to read on the steps of Francis Hall.

A MAP for undecided students

Not sure what you want to major in? Don’t worry, you're not alone. Many students immerse themselves in our core curriculum their freshman year and quite naturally discover the academic path they want to pursue.

And we provide you with lots of help. Our Major Adventures Program (MAP) is designed to help you explore your interests and aptitudes. We'll work with you to help you determine a major and potential career path you can be passionate about.

At St. Bonaventure, you'll start your intellectual journey through our core curriculum, called Clare College. These courses encourage the exploration of our intellectual, cultural, moral and spiritual heritage across several paths of study.

Instead, you and your adviser will work together to build a schedule that makes sense for your future goals.

St. Bonaventure instills in students a real passion for learning. You won't get bogged down memorizing disjointed information for different classes. Instead, our professors kick monotony out the door, creating a curriculum that connects disciplines and makes you think.

We believe it's our focus on connection — between people, places, events and ideas — that makes our curriculum so extraordinary.
