Thank you for your interest in University Honors at St. Bonaventure University.
For 30 years, the University Honors Program has provided our best and brightest undergraduates with a singular intellectual experience that has prepared them for success after SBU. Through small seminar-style classes, one-on-one interaction with faculty and peers, and unique research opportunities, the Honors Program provides participants with the best in academics that our institution has to offer.
Although academics is the obvious centerpiece of our program, it is not the only reason to participate. We are a community of scholars. There are many social events, lectures, conferences, museum visits, and theater performances scheduled throughout

the year. Many of these events are open only to Honors students. We have a new Honors space on campus that serves as a lounge during the year for our members as well as a site for receptions, musical performances and meetings. There are also opportunities to live on special academic floors in the dorms for those students who are looking for a quiet, more contemplative living experience.
Understand that only the most qualified students are invited to University Honors. Incoming students must have scored a combined 1200 on their SAT and have had a 90 or above high school average. To remain in good-standing in the program, students must maintain at least a 3.25 GPA. You must be enrolled in at least one honors class per year to remain active in the program.
