The St. Bonaventure Dual Enrollment Program at the Pine Grove Educational Center is open to any student who will be a junior or senior in the 2012-13 school year. The initiative is open to students from a charter or non-public school as well. However, the scholarship opportunities may be different for these schools.
Qualifications to participate in the St. Bonaventure Dual Enrollment Program include (must meet at least two):
- High school GPA greater than 85%
- Top 30% of class
- SAT or converted PSAT greater than 1,000 or ACT greater than 27
- Current Gifted Individualized Education Program (GIEP) student
- Recommendation from principal or guidance counselor (strongly recommended)
Students participating in the St. Bonaventure Dual Enrollment class are taking a college course and receiving high school and college credit for it. Grades will be reported through the grading system used by St. Bonaventure.
Warren County School District is responsible for any conversion necessary to adhere to their grading policies. Grades will be reported on the WCSD report card as well as on the transcript from St. Bonaventure University.
SBU: Pine Grove offers 4 classrooms, 2 labs, a student area, as well as access to computers, Internet, and printers to assist students in their studies.
