Former J/MC dean, Lee Coppola, to be inducted into Buffalo Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame

Lee Coppola, dean of St. Bonaventure’s journalism school from 1996 to 2011 and a member of the class of 1964, will be inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in September. Adding to the St. Bonaventure flavor at the Sept. 20 dinner ceremony will be Shannon Shepherd, ’12, who will receive the Tim Russert Medal of Merit, the third straight year a St. Bonaventure alum has won the award. Shepherd is a sports reporter/anchor at WSAW-TV, the CBS affiliate in Wausau, Wisc. The honor includes a $1,000 award. Read more.

On Jan. 1, 2012, Keenan Communications Group teams up with Martucci, Calabrese and Associates in Buffalo, N.Y., to launch a firm that focuses on social media, public relations crisis communications and grassroots advocacy. Read more.

Deb Henretta, 1983 J/MC graduate, leads Procter & Gamble's Asian expansion 

In an April 2011 Associated Press interview, the head of Asian operations for the world's largest consumer products maker says Procter & Gamble Co.'s growth in the region with half the world's population is picking up speed. Read more.
