nick  The semester BEFORE you are planning to student teach you must complete the Application for Student Teaching. Generally, this  must be completed and submitted immediately following mid-semester break. Applications and notices of the deadline will be published at least one month prior to the due date.

The Student Teacher Handbook is the comprehensive source of information regarding student teaching at St. Bonaventure University. Consult the handbook to access the following information:

The School of Education has established a unique partnership with several schools on Grand Bahama Island. For the past five years, cohorts of 4-6 student teachers have completed their first seven week session of student teaching at one of these school s. Housing and student teaching supervision are formally arranged through the University. This is full immersion in the Bahamian culture! Students who are interested in planning for this experience need to be aware that it is only offered during the Spring semester.
