A hallmark of the SBU program is that you learn to teach by teaching. There are field experiences associated with almost every course in your major. Get ready to work in classrooms and learn to teach!
The culminating experience for the elementary education major is a full semester of student teaching. All students prepare an electronic portfolio documenting their four-year journey.
