A close-up look at two PE classes

 

PHED 201-202. Individual and Dual Physical Activities

A two-course sequence focused on the basic instruction of movement activities. Activities may include archery, badminton, cross-country skiing, cycling, golf, inline skating, orienteering, Tai Chi, tennis, weight training or yoga.


This course may require weekend meeting times. In some instances, students will be responsible for providing their own equipment. Some lessons may require students to organize personal transportation and to from off-campus instructional venues (e.g. local driving range, state park, etc.). Additional fees for equipment rental or admissions may be required of students.

 


 

Bike polo 1 

Mountain bike polo challenges students to manage a bike and compete with classmates. It's also great fun! Click on photos to enlarge them.

Students use the Reilly Center pool and the nearby Allegheny River to learn canoeing skills as part of the Outdoor Education course. Click on the photos to enlarge them.
