The Clare College curriculum also includes a three-credit quantitative reasoning requirement. Childhood studies majors satisfy this requirement by passing any of the courses listed in the above table under Mathematics.

 

Content Strand

Choose one subject from among physical education, sociology, and psychology. Within the subject, take two courses, as indicted below.

 

Notes

This major does not lead to teacher certification.

 

In order for students to graduate, all degree requirements must be completed satisfactorily. These include:

  • Application for graduation and degree audit (registrar),
  • Application for graduation (School of Education evaluation),
  • 2.0 GPA overall,
  • Successful completion of internship in Childhood Studies.
