The St. Bonaventure University Hip-Hop Team was created in 2009 by student Jaclyn Haskell. The group began with 14 members and has grown at an astonishing rate. Not only has the team grown in number, but also talent. The team has crafted routines utilizing their skills in hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, and character to create truly entertaining performances.
The Hip Hop Team has a competition team of 20 members in which the members perform at Division I basketball games as half-time entertainment, and competitions around the regional area.
Over the past two years, the team has chosen to focus on their
performances in Quick Arts Center. The team holds three shows each year:
a Halloween performance, Christmas Performance, and a Spring Show.
The
SBU Hip Hop teams works very hard throughout the school year and it is
shown during their sold out shows. They are always looking for students
who have dedication and new styles and ideas in helping the team grow!
