Bonaventure Accounting Association

Misson Statement

The Bonaventure Accounting Association (BAA) offers students a wide range of professional and social opportunities for exploring the accounting profession. Through field trips that enable students to study the financial markets, building networks with alumni and helping the community through service projects such as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, students gain a greater understanding of the field and learn about career possibilities.

The club also sponsors various business seminars on campus during the school year such as the Accountants in Residence Day and career opportunities for the St. Bonaventure University student body such as Meet the Accountants Night.

Current & Upcoming Events for Bonaventure Accounting Association

Members of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program led by Dr. Anders, have been working hard to provide lower income citizens within Cattaraugus County with the service of preparing and filing their tax returns for free. In past years, VITA was able to bring hundreds of thousands of dollars back to the community through refunds and we hope that this year we can surpass the amount of refunds that we have had in previous years.
