Visual and Performing Arts

Quick Center for the Arts Exterior 1The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at St. Bonaventure offers majors and minors in art, art history, music, and theater. The department is housed in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts (pictured), as well as the nearby Garret Theater and the Butler Art and Rehearsal Studios.

The visual and performing arts are necessary elements in a liberal arts education. Whether we are creators or appreciators, the arts engage us in a dialogue of perception, imagination and reflection involving the entire range of human experience. The arts give meaning to our lives, amplify our emotions and ideas, offer us a cross-cultural community, and allow us to bring deeper awareness and unique perceptions to any career.
