One of the culminating requirements of the environmental science major is ES 404. Internship in Environmental Science. An internship is designed to give qualified students extended time working on a practical environmental project. The projects are completed in cooperation with an approved governmental or private agency.
What can you accomplish in an internship? The stories of students who recently completed environmental science internships appear below.

larval mosquito samples, and in the lab counting and classifying the mosquitoes collected. Morgan’s duties also included the preparation of weekly reports and the preparation of samples to be sent to external labs for analysis.
Morgan gained valuable experience in the full range of environmental work—field and lab. In the photo above, Morgan presents her work to Bonaventure faculty and students.
Michael Grosso '10: Internship with the Catt. County Health Dept., Summer 2009
As a senior environmental science major, Michael Grosso also worked with the Environmental Health Division of the Cattaraugus County Health Department during the summer of 2009.
