The 2011 MATHCOUNTS Chautauqua/Cattaraugus Regional Contest

SBU hosted its 2011 MATHCOUNTS regional contest on Saturday, February 5. The three schools competing were Allegany-Limestone Central School (coach Kathy Stamets), Cheektowaga Central School (coach David Guzzino), and Tapestry Charter School from Buffalo (coach Garett Farrugia). 

 

The top three individuals and the top three school teams received trophies. In addition, the top three teams have been invited to the New York State competition to be held on March 19 at the R.P.I. campus in Troy. The top individuals from the state contest will advance to the national competition to be held May 5 – 8 at Washington, D.C.

The 2010 MATHCOUNTS Chautauqua/Cattaraugus Regional Contest

SBU hosted its 2010 MATHCOUNTS regional contest on Saturday, February 6. The four schools competing were Allegany-Limestone Central School (coach Kathy Stamets), Cheektowaga Central School (coach David Guzzino), Falconer Central School (coach Stephanie Rhinehart), and Tapestry Charter School from Buffalo (coach Garett Farrugia).

 

The top three individuals and the top three school teams received trophies. In addition, the top three teams have been invited to the New York State competition to be held on March 13 at the R.P.I. campus in Troy. The top individuals from the state contest will advance to the national competition to be held May 6 – 9 at Walt Disney World.

SBU hosted its 2009 MATHCOUNTS regional contest on Saturday, February 7. The four schools competing were Allegany-Limestone Central School (coach Kathy Stamets), Cheektowaga Central School (coach David Guzzino), Falconer Central School (coach Becky Anderson), and Tapestry Charter School from Buffalo (coaches Garett Farrugia and Sarah Healy). 

 

The top three individuals and the top three school teams received trophies. In addition, the top three teams have been invited to the New York State competition to be held on March 14 at the R.P.I. campus in Troy. The top individuals from the state contest will advance to the national competition to be held May 7 – 10 at Walt Disney World.

The three schools competing were Allegany-Limestone Central School (coach Kathy Stamets), Falconer Central School (coach Becky Anderson), and Tapestry Charter School from Buffalo (coach Garett Farrugia). The contest was financially supported by St. Bonaventure University and two anonymous grants.

 

The top three individuals and the top three school teams received trophies. In addition, the top three teams have been invited to the New York State competition to be held on March 15 at the R.P.I. campus in Troy. The top individuals from the state contest will advance to the national competition to be held May 8 – 11 in Denver.

Five middle schools competed: Allegany-Limestone Central School (coach Kathy Stamets), Cheektowaga Central Middle School (coach Dave Guzzino), Falconer Central School (coach Becky Anderson), Salamanca Middle School (coach Diane Dietrich), and Tapestry Charter School from Buffalo (coach Garret Farrugia). The contest was financially supported by St. Bonaventure University and two anonymous grants.

 

The top three individuals and the top three school teams received trophies. In addition, the top three teams have been invited to the New York State competition to be held on March 10 at the R.P.I. campus in Troy. The top individuals from the state contest will advance to the national competition to be held May 10 – 13 in Fort Worth, Texas.

SBU hosted its 2006 MATHCOUNTS regional contest on Saturday, February 4. Four middle schools competed: Allegany-Limestone (coach Kathy Stamets), Falconer Central (coach Becky Anderson), Salamanca (coach Diane Dietrich), and Tapestry Charter from Buffalo (coach Carol Vago). The contest was financially supported by St. Bonaventure University and two anonymous grants.

 

The top three individuals and the top three school teams received trophies. In addition, the top three teams have been invited to the New York State competition to be held on March 18 at the R.P.I. campus in Troy. The top individuals from the state contest will advance to the national competition to be held May 11 – 14 in Arlington, Virginia.

Five middle schools competed: Allegany-Limestone (coach Kathy Stamets), Falconer Central (coach Becky Anderson), Gowanda (coach Beth Roblee), Olean (coach Diana Dunbar), and Wellsville (coach Doria Brownell). The contest was financially supported by St. Bonaventure University and two anonymous grants.

In addition, the top three teams have been invited to the New York State competition to be held on March 19 at the R.P.I. campus in Troy. The top individuals from the state contest will advance to the national competition to be held May 5 – 8 in Detroit.
