I am a psychologist at heart who took a right turn into the field of education. I have been teaching in NYC for the last 10 years and I truly feel that I have found my calling. I work with students, many of them from one-parent homes, who desperately need love and reassurance.

Pursuing teaching
Every day I go to work, I am not only teaching a subject, but I am providing these young adults with every ounce of who I am as a human being ... I am demonstrating through my actions what it takes to be true to one’s self and to be deeply compassionate all at the same time.

At times I feel as if I have nothing more to give but I always find a little on reserve. I know that what I teach in the classroom will be forgotten in no time at all, but I hope that what comes from my heart will never be.

(Oh yeah ... I also coach the JV football team, which is 24-1 in the last three years.)

I owe a lot of who I am to Fr. Dan Riley, O.F.M. Thank you father.
