ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — The Department of Chemistry at St. Bonaventure University will offer the organic chemistry sequence CHEM 301 and CHEM 302, as well as their corresponding labs, this summer at the university’s main campus in Olean.
CHEM 301 will be offered during the first summer session beginning May 14, and CHEM 302 will be offered in the second session beginning June 23.
“This is a great opportunity for students looking to repeat the course or students who have difficulty fitting their science requirements in during the academic year,” said Dr. David Hilmey, associate professor and chair of the Department of Chemistry.
A minimum of six students must enroll for the courses to be offered, and students must have successfully completed an introductory chemistry course.
“This is a very challenging course sequence and would fulfill the organic chemistry requirements of medical and other health professional schools,” said Hilmey.
