Description:

A study of the greats plays (Racine, Molière and Corneille) of France in the age of Louis XIV to the Age of Enlightenment as seen in its principal genres (“philosophical” works of Montesquieu, Voltaire, Diderot and Rousseau and the fictional or dramatic works of LeSage, Marivaux, Prevost and Beaumarchais).
