Commencement Weekend Assembly Information

Baccalaureate Mass

• Assembly Time: 4 p.m.
  Please be prompt so the procession may form and candidates can be at their seats on the arena floor before 4:30 p.m.
• Start of Mass: 4:30 p.m. 
• Dress: Academic garb (robe only) required
  Do not bring caps or hoods to the Mass
• Assembly Point: All students to assemble in the ground floor corridor at the southeast corner of the RC. 

Commencement Exercises

• Assembly Time: Candidates and marshals must report at 9:30 a.m.
  Promptness is important. Instructions must be given and formation of the academic procession must begin so that all are in their seats just before 10:30 a.m. The procession begins at 10:15 a.m.
• Start of Commencement: 10:30 a.m. sharp! 
• Dress: Academic garb, including cap and hood, required 
• Assembly Points: See chart below  
• The Procession:
  Degree candidates will line up at their designated assembly points in alphabetical order. A faculty marshal will give each candidate a name card. (Candidates are urged to check the list in the Registrar's Office to make sure their names and degrees are correct.) Candidates must keep this card in their possession as they proceed into the arena.  

Candidates will be asked to stand and be acknowledged by school. Each candidate will proceed to the stage and hand his or her name card to the dean or designated reader who will read the name, after which the candidate will walk across the stage.
