Description:

An overview of electronic commerce and examination of its role in the business environment. The student will study the impact of e-commerce on business models and the functional areas of the organization. Topics include electronic commerce terminology, Web-based marketing, electronic data interchange, regulations, risks, and risk management. Security issues such as authentication, firewalls and payment mechanisms will also be explored.
