The Office of Marketing and Communications is located on the second floor of Francis Hall on the East End of campus. During the academic year, our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Two St. Bonaventure University juniors were inducted May 1 into Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honor society.
René Sandroni, a mathematics major and accounting minor from Seneca Falls, N.Y., and Steven Zimmer, a dual accounting and finance major and mathematics minor from Lancaster, N.Y., were inducted into PME.
Dr. Chris Leary, professor of mathematics, is the adviser for the New York Omega Chapter at St. Bonaventure. Dr. Chris Hill, assistant professor of mathematics, has been the acting adviser while Dr. Leary is on sabbatical.
Pi Mu Epsilon is dedicated both to promoting scholarly activity in mathematics and to recognizing mathematical achievement among students at academic institutions. Election into PME is based on mathematical achievement and overall scholarship.
Founded in 1914 at Syracuse University, Pi Mu Epsilon now has more than 300 chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States. This year marks the centennial of Pi Mu Epsilon and the 36th anniversary of the New York Omega Chapter.
