The Office of Marketing and Communications is located on the second floor of Francis Hall on the East End of campus. During the academic year, our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Rick Trietley, vice president for student affairs at St. Bonaventure University, will be the keynote speaker at the Cattaraugus County Mental Health Association’s annual “Survivor to Thriver” Conference.
The conference is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at Jamestown Community College’s Olean campus on North Union Street.
The conference, co-sponsored by the Mental Health Association in Cattaraugus County and the Jamestown Community College Department of Continuing Education, will focus on its theme of “Finding Hope at Home” and centers around veterans and suicide prevention.
The local suicide coalition coordinator and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will host workshops at the conference. Other workshops include dream boards, quilting and building a wellness recovery action plan.
There also will be a donation drive to send care packages to men and women serving overseas. The drive will be running through May, which is Mental Health Month. The deadline for final donations is Saturday, May 31.
The conference is open to the public. The cost to attend is $10, but scholarships are available if needed.
