St. Bonaventure University Music Program to present annual Christmas Concert at the Quick Center

The Music Program in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at St. Bonaventure University will present its annual Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, in Rigas Theater of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on campus.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The program will feature holiday songs and other classic selections performed by the SBU Concert Band under the direction of Les Sabina, director of Visual and Performing Arts; the SBU Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, directed by artist-in-residence Kathryn Black; and student soloists from the studios of Black and music program lecturer Laura Peterson.

Some of the numbers to be performed are “Silver Bells,” “The Christmas Song,” “Wintertide” (featuring handbells), “Pie Jesu” and “Panis Angelicus.”
