Educating good students -- and good people
I see a transformation in my students when they make their final presentations during my accounting theory and research class. The students are so poised and professional when they make these presentations that it is hard to believe that they were freshmen just a few years ago.
They effectively research the technical aspects of the topic, but more importantly, they are able to speak confidently and enthusiastically about current issues that affect accounting professionals. They are ready to face the world … and to make their mark!
One of the most rewarding things for me as a faculty member is to hear from former students about their personal and professional successes. Many of our students have told me that they can compete head-to-head with students from top universities across the country. Their professional success bears this out.
And St. Bonaventure graduates are not just good business people … they are good people, who give back to their communities in a myriad of ways.
