Teaching Philosophy:

Every student has something to teach me. I am always learning about new teaching techniques and updating my course material in an effort to provide current knowledge in an engaging way.


Each of my students is important and my goal is to help each one become not only a good business person, but a good person. Through my teaching, I hope that my students become competent and compassionate, and learn that they have much to contribute to their community and to the world.

  • Tax Decisions of Married Couples

  • VITA Program Results

Other Interests/Community Involvement:

  • Financial Advisory Board (Sisters of Saint Mary, Buffalo, NY)
  • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, SBU serving Cattaraugus County
  • First Year Experience Program, including "All Bonaventure Reads"
  • Enjoy reading, needlework, travel, and spending time with family

Additional Biographical Information:

  • Began career with Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in the Buffalo, NY, office
  • Started the Internal Audit department at Merchants Insurance Group
  • Later served as controller at Merchants Insurance Group prior to joining academia
