Teaching Philosophy: |
It is my belief that my role in the classroom is to guide my students toward success. The field of education is ever-changing so it is as important that students learn “how to learn” as it is for them to learn the skills necessary to become effect teachers. I believe in an active, engaged classroom where learning happens through lecture, projects, discussion, group and individual work. I also believe in assessing students through a variety of methods including papers, projects, participation, exams and quizzes, group and individual work, because no one assessment can tell me everything there is to know about student success in the classroom.
