Traditional Pre-Medicine and Pre-Health
Most health care professionals reach a decision on career goals during college and use the traditional routes of entry into professional training. In addition to excellent academic preparation for professional schools and their entrance exams, SBU offers dedicated pre-health advisers and career counseling.
Traditional pre-health students have access to the same clinical experience programs and service activities that have developed around our large cohort of dual admission students.
With a large proportion of our pre-professional students having reserved seats awaiting them through their dual admission programs, the atmosphere among SBU students is cooperation and collegiality, not competition.
At SBU you can pursue your education in the same way you will later practice your profession, working together with your colleagues for the betterment of all.
