Etiquette Dinner

Learn to dine like a diplomat at the CPRC's Etiquette Dinner.  A $10 ticket gets you a delicious four course dinner.  Register at the CPRC office (RC 231).

Major Confusion?

Tuesday, April 9, 2013, 4:00 to 5:00 PM - UMIN (Merton Center) Living Room 

A casual, coffee-house style offering for students to share their experiences through the often confusing twists and turns that can come with choosing an academic major. Open to any student who is undeclared, or undecided about current major, or anyone seeking information about major or minor options with relation to their career path. Refreshments will be served. Create, critique, or overhaul your profile at the CPRC's LinkedIn for Graduating Students.  Students with approved profiles will be granted early access to network through the SBU Alumni Group on LinkedIn.  Drop-Ins are on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

InterviewStream - Online Practice Interviews

Webcam and internet connection required - Visit sbu.interviewstream.com to begin 

Be prepared for that first interview.  Experience an online practice interview using the InterviewStream system.  All you need are a webcam and internet connection.  No webcam? Contact the CPRC office (career@sbu.edu) to schedule an appointment to use the CPRC InterviewStream station.

Dream Share Project

Monday, October 1, at 4:00 PM - Murphy Auditorium 

The Dream Share Project is a film that encourages people to live up to their fullest potential and reject societal pressure to “play it safe.” In collaboration with Student Activities and Residence Life, the CPRC is bringing this inspirational documentary film to campus. The Dream Share Project features eye-opening advice and anecdotal wisdom from an Olympic skier, one of the original Latin Kings of Comedy, a slam poet, a Project Runway fashion designer, the CEO of a sustainable flip flop company, and many more.

December Graduates: Don't Panic!  It's the perfect opportunity to meet one-on-one with the CPRC staff to ask questions and have your résumé reviewed.  Bring a digital or print copy of your résumé to the CPRC main office (RC 231) during the scheduled hours.  First come. First served.

Enhance and broaden your professional connections by attending an alumni-student networking event at the Ellicott Square building in Buffalo, NY.  Enjoy good company and refreshments as you network with professionals from across Western New York.

 

 

Alumni Panel & Networking Event

 Friday, January 25, 2013, at 4:00 PM - R.C. Hall of Fame Room 

Learn from recent SBU alumni about life after graduation.  Listen as a panel discussion tackles questions of how to find a job, how to network, where to live/how to find an apartment, and much more.  Next, expand your network as you mingle with professionals from numerous industries - all alumni of St. Bonaventure University. Alumni panel to take place from 4:00-5:00 PM in the Hall of Fame room, immediately followed by the networking event from 5:00-6:00 PM.
